Green Smoothie

Quick and delectable pick-me-up built on spinach, fruits, nuts, dates and almond milk. Tease your taste buds to a glassful of goodness!

#Gluten-free

Green Smoothies! There are a million different combinations to make this healthy green concoction. The green tends to be intimidating and one would expect a grassy taste and grainy texture. That's not a requirement to make a healthy green drink! The right blend of ingredients can result in a healthy yet delicious beverage.

This recipe doesn't call for any added sweeteners. The dates and banana not only make this drink rich in Iron content and Potassium, but also render a subdued sweetness. This perfectly balances out the tartness from the fruits and acquired taste of fresh Spinach. Almond milk helps round up the flavors.

Quick tip: Chop a banana that's ripe and freeze it. Comes in very handy while making smoothies. A delicious replacement to ice cubes. In this case, I also froze the mango pieces.

A perfect smoothie beginner's green variant! Simple, quick and healthy! Just add in all the ingredients and blend it. I use a Blendtec and run the smoothie cycle twice. Start with the recipe below and feel free to modify as you go along.
