Carrot cake Smoothie

Quick and delectable dessert smoothie packed with carrots, oats, walnuts and spices. Tease your taste buds to a glassful of goodness!

#Gluten-free

Carrot cake smoothie! A delicious cup of everything good that goes into a carrot cake. Tasting like a medicine is not a requirement to make a healthy drink! The right blend of ingredients can result in a healthy yet delicious beverage.

This recipe doesn't call for any added sugars. The dates or maple syrup make this drink rich in Iron content and Potassium, but also render a subdued sweetness. Fiber in oats helps with digestion, controlling blood sugar, lowering cholesterol and keeping your heart healthy. And, the star of the show, Carrots! Should I even begin to list out its health benefits? Almond milk or any plant based beverage helps round up the flavors.

I have used baby carrots here as I had an entire bag. But, feel free to use the regular ones and they taste just as good or even better!

If you would like to add a Banana in there just go for it! Quick tip: Chop a banana that's ripe and freeze it. Comes in very handy while making smoothies. A delicious replacement to ice cubes.

A perfect smoothie beginner's dessert variant! Simple, quick and healthy! Just add in all the ingredients and blend it. I use a Blendtec and run the smoothie cycle twice. Start with the recipe below and feel free to modify as you go along.
